Electronic waste (e-waste) has become a severe environmental and health hazard in today's world. With the rapid expansion of technology and a consumption-driven society, more and more e-waste is generated every year, leading to serious environmental and health hazards. However, various initiatives are being taken to reduce and recycle e-waste in a safe and sustainable manner.
On 25th April 2023, the Sharda Welfare Foundation, Department of Life Sciences, School of Basic Science and Research, Sharda University and Inclusive Recycling Foundation jointly organised an Awareness and Training Workshop for Safe and Efficient E-Waste Management at the Dismantling Facility in Ghaziabad. The workshop was designed to create awareness among the students of Sharda University, about the importance of e-waste management and encourage them to make a difference in their communities by running awareness campaigns and building consciousness on this issue.
Participants had the opportunity to learn about the hazardousness of e-waste and proper recycling methods, as well as participate in hands-on dismantling sessions led by experienced professionals.
We are proud to see that the participants gained valuable knowledge and are motivated to take action in their communities. Let's work together towards a more sustainable future.
